Recently, Peter van der Meer from Leimuiden received yet another Atlas railway machine. This Atlas 160WSR has been converted from a mobile excavator to a railway machine by the specialists at Kemp Groep and Van Tetering Railroad Equipment. Kemp Groep wishes Peter van der Meer B.V. much work pleasure again with the new rail crane.
The Atlas 160WR rail crane is equipped with a Stage V engine and includes features such as an LMB system, complete with necessary hydraulic functions, an overpressure system, central lubrication, proportional control, and additional work lighting. For optimal safety and perfect visibility all around, the machine is equipped with numerous extra LED work lights, a 360-degree camera system, and railway lighting.
This is just a small part of the many modifications carried out in Tiel and Steenbergen. This specialization is appreciated by the end users, which is why we maintain long and intensive relationships with many customers working on and around the railway.
The undercarriage of the Atlas 160WSR is equipped with a reinforced rail chassis with 470 mm diameter rail wheels. Additionally, the machine is equipped with braking on the rail wheels, hydraulic outriggers on the left and right, a hydraulic ballast release system, various toolboxes, and storage options. The machine has been completely repainted and finished with clear varnish.
