Atlas Rail Crane for Van Oosterwijk Rail

Recently, the rail crane rental company and family-owned business Van Oosterwijk from Molenschot has become the proud owner of their eighteenth(!) Atlas rail machine. Thanks to approvals for both the Belgian rail (Infrabel, tram, and narrow gauge) and the Dutch rail (ProRail, tram, and metro), Van Oosterwijk is highly versatile with this Atlas 180Wsr.

Just like all the Atlas rail machines owned by Van Oosterwijk, this one is also fully equipped by Van Tetering in Steenbergen, including features like a high-rise bucket, Last Moment Safety System, and a reinforced rail chassis.

Specialization
The Atlas 180Wsr with a double cabin has been converted into a rail machine by the specialists at Van Tetering Groundwork and Rail Machines B.V. in Steenbergen. The conversion from a base machine to a rail machine requires a lot of time and attention, including features such as a reinforced rail chassis with a fork system, Last Moment Safety System, shunting couplings, electric fuel pump, hydraulic stabilizers on the left and right, additional reinforced counterweight, and an overpressure system.

In addition, the rail machine is equipped with various practical and safety options, including toolboxes on both sides of the undercarriage, a fire extinguisher, first aid kit, short-circuit cable, environmental package, reverse signal, rail lighting, and additional work lighting. The Atlas 180Wsr is delivered with a hydraulic quick coupler and an extendable boom.

These are just a small part of the many modifications carried out by Van Tetering. This specialization is valued by end-users, which is why we maintain long and intensive relationships with many customers working on and around the rail. For more information about the Atlas rail machines and rail wagons, you can contact Van Tetering Groundwork and Rail Machines B.V. in Steenbergen or Kemp Groep in Tiel.
